The Finer Details
Our solid oak benches are made entirely from FSC certified European oak. Made in our own Yorkshire workshops. Bespoke sizes are available, contact us for more info. The bench legs are 60mm square, and the oak bench seat is 30mm thick.
Care & attention
Each piece of solid oak furniture is treated with Fiddes Hardwax Oil. As standard we use 3 plentiful coats of Clear Satin finish, unless otherwise requested. It provides a durable, hard-wearing finish, easy to wipe clean and maintain. Whilst Fiddes Hardwax Oil provides a hard-wearing protective surface, it must be remembered that the base surface is solid wood, and therefore prone to dents, scratches and chips. This, however, may simply add to the charm, character and story of your built-to-last table.
Do not allow liquids to stand on your surface for long periods of time. Mop up spills of water and other liquids. Never use bleach or aggressive chemical cleaners on your surface. Clean your table using a slightly damp cloth, alternatively a wipe with furniture polish always freshens it up.
